  1. Loved the slideshow, Diane - a good way to make use of your hard work! Some very touching, strong poems, too - I especially liked "Upon the Death of Creatures"...you've shared that before, haven't you? It seemed familiar.

    1. "Upon the Death of Creatures" was one of the first poems I posted for the project.

  2. "Rust that lock shut"! This is beautiful, Diane. Great way to be creative with your project after it didn't turn out as planned.

  3. Your angels are vivid messengers. Appreciations that you listen to them & so eloquently share what they say.

    1. If nothing else, my angels are quite opinionated!

  4. Thank you for sharing your clad-with-wings impressively written and illustrated poetry slide show. What a perfect way to celebrate Earth Day—acknowledging Earth’s guardians and messengers! I know I don't routinely think about and thank my GA (Guardian Angel) enough. Your Guardian Angel poem especially resonated; particularly the lines "How will I pick you out from the others when you're dancing on the head of a pin?" (Can you tell I was taught by Dominicans?) I’m sure the angels are stringing lights in celebration of your poetry, written in their honor. God bless you. Thank you again so much for allowing us to enter into your peacefully complex poetry project! With nothing ever wasted--not time, energy, or creativity, it will be wonderful to learn how this project culminates:)

  5. All beautiful, some I've seen and enjoyed, some I loved today, "Glory to the spiderlings". In my childhood, I've had a taste of bathrobes and angel wings, giggles muffled. Your project is lovely whether you finished that first goal or not, Diane.

  6. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful slideshow! I marvel at how you blend gorgeous images and quotes with your own poems. I like the different tones you struck too -- reverent, playful, questioning, wonder. A great project, initial goal met or not.

    1. Anyone looking for angel art is richly rewarded--not only do you find angel paintings, but there are numbers of marble angels in almost any old cemetery!

    1. I am of the opinion that angels should be bringers of joy, not vengeance.

  8. You did a wonderful job formatting the slideshow, Diane! I enjoyed reading through them as a collection, though I must have missed your posts now and then because there was more than one that I don't remember. Besides the one that you know is my favorite, one of my new-to-me faves is the tanka with the dog and the feather. I also really like the party lights haiku.

    1. The tanka one was written for a friend who recently lost his dog. He had posted the photo and I was especially affected by the feather.

The party lights seemed appropriate to me on that June 26 of last year when the Supreme Court ruled on marriage equality.

Thanks for your continued support, Michelle! ;-)

  10. What a wonderful project. I think I like the angels hanging party lights best, it's such a simple, but great image. I love all the art you've selected. Very beautiful.

  11. Diane, it was wonderful to be able to see your collection in succession. I did some of the poems before but as a grouping they had clout. I think the one of the little girl with the white shoes is a beautiful composition. Would you like to offer the dog poem to my Spring's Seeds Gallery? If so, please send me the #imagepoem.
