Poetry Friday--A Tanka

It is painfully obvious to me that I will not get my Sketchbook Project angel book done in time for the April 15 deadline. I'm still working on poems, and I don't even have a title for the small collection! So, I'll keep it brief--here's one more poem that will go into the collection even though the angel connection is tenuous at best!

  1. This is positively gorgeous, Diane— the presentation and the sentiment. How I would love to have this framed and hanging on my wall! Seriously. Can you send me the jpeg? I'd be happy to pay for it. :)

  3. It feels like a good connection to me, Diane. Angels arrive in mysterious places. It's lovely.

    1. Absolutely! That's why there are so many movies about angels. Remember Clarence Odbody?

  4. Diane, what a beautiful pairing of art and words. Angels take all forms. Even poets!

    1. Like angels, poets have a way of getting to the heart of the matter.

    1. I'll finish it, but not in the form I envisioned! "Finished is better than perfect," as more than one person have said.

  6. It's only tenuous in your poetry critic mind. It's a lovely connection. Beautiful image and lovely words.
