I Think in Poems is the meeting place for today's Poetry Friday Round-Up. See you there!
I think you know how I feel about your work, Diane... these are all wonderful and so uniquely you. My favorite is "A Brief Encounter, Or, Move Over Emily Dickinson"-- I am utterly enamored with it. Enjoy your daughter's wedding tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle, I had a lot of fun with that one! The wedding rehearsal was last night, we're into the final stretch! Thank goodness there will be a break in the heat tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI count myself lucky to have been a recipient of one of your poems, Diane! These are all lovely! I hope the wedding is wonderfully memorable in the best of ways. I get to play Mother of the Groom next month and just finalized the rehearsal dinner plans so I may be able to breathe. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Keri! All the best with your upcoming gig! We had an awesome time at the dinner last night. As a matter of fact, I'm enjoying some of the leftovers for lunch right now!
DeleteBrilliant as always, Mother-of-the-Bride! Enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Janet! I'll count that as an Irish blessing!
DeleteEnjoyed all these poems, Diane. Hard to pick a favorite, but I'm leaning towards "Reports of the Weather" and "Summer, Late Afternoon." Great pictures paired with these poems too. :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the wedding!!
Thanks, Jama! I'm definitely planning on having fun!
DeleteThese are really beautiful, Diane!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all at the wedding tomorrow! Fantastic!
Thanks, old friend. They grew up too quickly, didn't they?
DeleteCongratulations, Diane! Hope the day goes smoothly. Your poems are something to savor!
ReplyDeleteSince most everything is out of my hands, I expect it will all go well. My only assignment for tomorrow is show up and to not break anything (like bones--one of which I fractured at my son's wedding).
DeleteGreat poems, Diane. My favorite is Reports of the Weather! I liked your artwork too. I hope the wedding day is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you BJ! I love matching up poems with photos and art.
ReplyDeleteYour combination of art and poetry is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteCongrats and have fun today!
Thank you, Mary Lee! The wedding was spectacular!
