You can tell I live in the country. My first thoughts were not nearly as happy as pixies! (Mice, squirrels, rats . . .eeew.) This is a case of the illustration influencing the text for the better! ;-)
We live in the suburbs and have our share of mice and chipmunks. I have a groundhog in my backyard. You can see him here. As a matter of fact, I wrote another poem about him today!
