Poetry--Had Enough Katku?

This is the last Friday of Katku before I'll take a break. They are kind of addictive--at least as far as creating them is concerned.

winter sun
in complete control
of the cat

cat watches
the neighbor's cat
watching

unfed cat's look
burns right through me
...she walks away

    I'm still sad about my Pearl, so katku is kind of rough on this cat-less writer (more so because we probably aren't getting another, as we have a family cat allergy problem). That said, I love what you did with the images, and the cattitude is just right.

      So sorry about Pearl. I still find myself mourning my Smudgie, and she's been gone more than two years. :-(

    Love love your katku! Sorry to hear you're taking a break from them. Again, ingenious graphics, and all three poems capture the essence of "cat-ness." I think the first might be my favorite.

    The artistic placement is wonderful, Diane. That "look" with the haiku in the final one, hard to forget! But I love the first, "winter sun", remembering my former cat dozing in a patch of sunlight. If stopping, take a whirl in this at least once in a while!
