Ha! Long lives mean lots of experiences, right? That cottage looks huge. It shows the 'Grannys' like us, too, I imagine, always ready with a treat.
Wonderful painting! Like the implication that granny's tales aren't all sweetness and light . . .
Linda and Jama, it’s been my experience that a goodly number of old grannies lose their inhibitions and move toward sauciness in their later years!

Have you read Erdrich's The Round House? This granny reminds me of one of the elders in that book!
I read it when it first came out a few years back and I remember laughing at loud at some of her remarks.
